SELECT / GTHL COMPARISON

2023-2024 CDS TRYOUTS

The North York Knights will be holding CDS Tryouts at the Cummer, Pleasantview and Don Mills arenas from September 23rd to September 30th. Any player who is registered with the North York Knights and wishes to play CDS should attend the scheduled evaluations. Players not registered for the 2023/2024 season with the North York Knights will not be permitted to try out for any CDS teams. During the hockey season, CDS teams generally play once per week and will practice one day per week (on Sunday morning). Games are played against other local CDS teams including Forest Hill, North Toronto, Leaside and Scarborough.

There is an additional fee to play in CDS to cover ice time and equipment; details will be provided to parents and players once the CDS evaluations have concluded. For more information about our CDS program, please visit our website at:

Comparison between the Knights Select and the GTHL (A level) programs

What are some important differences between the Knights Select and the GTHL (A level) programs? The following table compares important consideration of the two programs.
