MINOR PEEWEE VOLUNTEER WITH
GLOBAL MEDIC!

Congratulations to the Knights 2008 Minor Peewee Select team for volunteering with Global Medic!  The team spent a vigorous crisp morning assembling Family Emergency Kits in the Global Medic warehouse during the holiday break. The team had a special visit with former NHLer and Global Medic volunteer, Andre Deveaux. The kits that they assembled included water purification sachets and hygiene kits. Global Medic sends Canadian volunteers around the world to aid in the aftermath of disaster and crises, such as humanitarian and natural disasters.  When an emergency strikes they respond with critical interventions to save lives, and reduce suffering.  This activity provided the team with an opportunity to work together and to give back to their community. Our group – the young but mighty— did our organization proud with their energy and perseverance. Well done Minor Peewee Select, the Knights are proud of your initiative!
